Who we are

Hardwood Edge (the “app”) is published by Derrick Soltero, an individual developer (“we,” “us”). This Privacy Policy explains what information the Hardwood Edge mobile app and this website (hardwoodedge.app) collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. Questions: [email protected].

Information we collect

• Account information. If you create an account, we collect your email address and a password. Passwords are handled by our authentication provider (Supabase) and stored in hashed form; we never see your password in plain text.
• Purchase and subscription information. When you subscribe or buy a Get pick, payment is processed by Apple. We receive your subscription status, plan, renewal or expiry dates, and transaction identifiers through Apple and RevenueCat. We do not receive or store your card number or Apple payment details.
• Pick requests. When you use Get pick, we store the game you asked about, the answer you received, and its result so you can see your Get pick history.
• Push notification token. If you allow notifications, we store a device push token (through Expo's push service) so we can send alerts you opted into.
• Referral information. If you invite friends or join from an invite link, we record the referral so we can credit free days of Pro.
• Device and app settings. The app stores some settings on your device, such as confirming you are 21 or older. Our service providers may log basic technical data (such as IP address, device type, and timestamps) needed to run and secure the service.

We do not collect your precise location, contacts, photos, or health data. We do not use third-party advertising or cross-app tracking.

How we use information

We use information to operate Hardwood Edge: to sign you in, unlock the features of your plan, fulfill Get pick requests, track pick records, credit referrals, send notifications you opted into, keep the service reliable and secure, prevent abuse, and meet legal obligations.

We do not sell your data

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information for money or for cross-context behavioral advertising.

Service providers

We share information only with providers that help us run the app, under their own privacy terms:

• Supabase: database, authentication, and backend functions.
• RevenueCat: subscription and purchase status management.
• Apple: App Store payments, TestFlight distribution, and push notification delivery.
• Expo: app updates and push notification delivery.
• Cloudflare: hosting for this website.

We may also disclose information if required by law, or to protect the rights, safety, and security of our users or the service.

Data retention

We keep account and request data only as long as needed to provide the service or as required by law. Your Get pick history is kept while your account is active so you can review past answers. Daily pick slates are cleared regularly; aggregate win-loss records are not linked to any individual user.

Your choices and rights

• Notifications: turn alerts off anytime in your iPhone's Settings.
• Subscriptions: manage or cancel through your Apple ID subscription settings.
• Account deletion: delete your account in the app at any time (Plans tab › Delete account). This permanently deletes your account and associated data. You can also email [email protected] from the address on your account to ask us to delete it; we will respond within 30 days. Deleting your account does not cancel an Apple subscription.
• Access and correction: email [email protected] from the address on your account to request a copy of your data or a correction. We will respond within 30 days.

Depending on where you live (for example, California or the EU/UK), you may have additional rights under local law. Contact us to exercise them; we will not discriminate against you for doing so.

Age requirement

Hardwood Edge is intended only for users 21 years of age or older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 21. If you believe someone under 21 has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.

Security

We use reasonable safeguards, including encrypted connections and access controls on our database. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we can't guarantee absolute security.

This website

hardwoodedge.app is a static website. It does not use cookies, analytics, or advertising trackers. Our host, Cloudflare, may process standard server logs (such as IP address) to deliver and protect the site.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will change the effective date above and, for material changes, notify you in the app or by email. Continued use after changes means you accept the revised policy.
